All training programme directors are required to assign trainees to their deanery.
If other individuals in your deanery require access (for example, if a new surgical TPD is appointed), please contact us.
How to assign trainees to your deanery:
- Create an account or log in to the JETS website.
- In the Actions menu, click on 'deanery trainees.'
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and add the trainee for your deanery. Ensure you use their email address or their GMC/NMC number to search for them. A pop-up will appear with the name of the trainee, so you can add them to the site.
- The trainee will receive an email notifying them that they have been invited to the deanery.
The trainee will now appear on your Deanery trainees page. You can filter according to organisation, sites and job title. To view the profile of the trainee, click on their name under the endoscopist column. This will allow you to view their portfolio.
If you cannot find a particular trainee, please confirm their GMC/NMC number with them and ensure that they have a registered account on JETS. If not, they will need to create an account.
In order to see the correct set of trainee’s the TPD will need to ensure their profile job role matches
that of the trainee’s they wish to see.
For example, if the TPD has the job role ‘Gastroenterologist’, they will be able to see everyone that is
part of the deanery that also has ‘Gastroenterologist’ as their role. This would be the same for the
surgical TPD, they would need their role to be GI surgeon on the profile. Changing their role will
bring up a different set of trainees on the TPD page.
