This is a phone call between the lead assessor and the key unit contacts regarding the assessment. The call usually takes place two or three weeks after the service has completed their first evidence upload. The lead assessor will go through the timetable for the physical assessment and give any preliminary feedback from the assessor’s first review of evidence. It is a chance for the service to discuss any concerns or queries with the lead assessor, and to gauge the service’s overall readiness for their assessment.
The lead assessor or a JAG administrator will email the service contacts to arrange a suitable time for the call. Ideally, the key unit contacts (clinical, nurse, and management leads) should be available for the call.
