The certification page measures data from the last three months and, as such, may fluctuate from day to day.
For example,
- On 12 July 2021 the page will pull data from 12 April - 12 July 2021 only; on 13 July it will pull data from 13 April - 13 July, and so on. So, while the trainee may be logging more DOPS, the percentages on the certification page may go down as the period being assessed changes.
The percentage for each KPI is calculated by number of procedures matching KPI measured, divided by, total number of procedures performed in the time period. The denominator is a rolling metric based on the last 3/6 months performance rather than static (lifetime procedure count).
For example,
- On 12 July 2021 the trainee has performed 130 procedures in total (in the last 3/6 months), of which 114 reached the KPI measured. 114/130 = 87.7%
- On 13 July 2021 the trainee performs one more procedure where KPI is met, so 131 procedures in total (in the last 3/6 months), of which 115 reached the KPI measured. 115/131 = 87.8%
- The percentage would only rise by 0.1%.
