Data from NED can be used for audits required as part of JAG accreditation assessments, provided the endoscopy service has:
- been uploading to NED for the audit period (normally 1 year)
- service has been using NED-compliant software for the entire period the data covers. You can check the compliance of endoscopy reporting system software versions on the NED website
To see service-level data and to download the audit report from NED, an appropriate individual requires an account with permission to view service-level data (normally, this would be the clinical lead or their nominated deputy). Access to service-level data is set up by the JAG admin team. To gain access, please contact us via our web form providing your name, role, email address and confirmation you have permission to access service-level data on NED.
Once you have service-level access on NED, login and click on 'JAG Audit Report' from the KPI page. To find this option you need to expand the 'Filters' box, shown in the screenshot below.
This will then extract an excel document providing the data in the format required by JAG assessors. Once downloaded, the clinical lead should add a comment of explanation where appropriate before submitting as evidence for a JAG assessment.
