Different JETS Workforce roles unlock access to different tabs and permissions on the JETS Workforce ePortfolio. All users will need a role assigned to their account in order to access JETS Workforce. All roles are linked to specific endoscopy units - it is not possible to have a role that is independent of any particular hospital sites/organisations.
A full list of JETS Workforce roles are explained below:
Staff member · Nurse or equivalent using the competency framework
Supervisor · Responsible for reviewing and signing off formative elements of competency framework
· Experienced member of staff as agreed by unit manager
Assessor · Responsible for signing off competencies (can also sign off evidence)
· Experienced member of staff as agreed by unit manager
Unit Manager · Responsible for adding users to the ePortfolio
· Responsible for overseeing staff members’ progress
Depending on which JETS Workforce role(s) you’ve been assigned, you will have access to different pages and tabs on the JETS Workforce website. Shown below is the view for 'Workforce staff members' - the standard level of access - which you can find by hovering over 'My JAG' and clicking 'My assessment'.
How do I change/add roles on JETS Workforce?
If you have not been assigned a role or require your level of access to be changed, please speak to your Unit Manager.
- If you are supervising or assessing trainees as part of your role, you will need to be assigned the role of Supervisor/Assessor to be able to view and sign off their evidence. This should be done by the Unit Manager.
- If you are a Unit Manager for an endoscopy department, you will need to be assigned a Unit Manager role to enable you to add staff to JETS Workforce and view their evidence. Should your site have no current Unit Manager in place, please contact the JETS Workforce team to have this access added.
