NED data has an open application process for anyone to apply to access NED data. The process will be managed by the JAG research committee. This group is chaired by Dr Nigel Trudgill.
The first step in applying to use NED data in research is the completion of a pro-forma, explaining what data is required, why it is wanted and who will be in project team. In terms of requirements for a successful application, the key factors will be around purpose of research, ability to complete research and meeting basic ethics requirements. It is likely we will insist that someone with experience/knowledge of the NED database forms part of project team to reduce the risk of data being misunderstood. We are very keen to have an open process and for all applications to be considered.
For more information on data requests, or to submit an application, please visit the data and requests page on The JAG website.
