If an accredited service is using the endoscopy unit to care for inpatients, will this affect their accreditation status?

All services that are using their endoscopy unit for inpatients need to declare this to JAG in their annual renewal assessment. This will not automatically result in the withdrawal of accreditation, however JAG must be satisfied that this is not routine practice and that reasonable measures are in place to avoid this.
